I love mashed potatoes, French fries, slightly thicker French fries, and extra thick French fries!

Right?? Where’s my au gratin at?

Gnocchi, melting potatoes, hit me with a stew starring the celebrated starch, potato chips, potato salad, white pepper potato soup, latkes, the list goes on! Gonna make latkes tomorrow, now that I remember their existence

Yeah the blessed Allium family. Without them, our cooking is lost

Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.

Potatos are like the Chris Pratt of the vegetables. In lots of stuff, still tastes the same. Onions are the unsung heros, they can be spicy, savory, or sweet. I had a grilled onion yesterday that immediately triggered the flavor memory of a toasted marshmallow. Hardly anyone gives it recognition but meals wouldn't be the same without them.
