This is my first reply on Lemmy that isn’t a post.

Well, at least as far as today is concerned. Anyway, we’re both off to a good start.

Well done, this is very casual

Welcome!

As someone who used to be kinda similar, it can get kinda addictive! Don’t get too stressed about needing to post or anything, I’d say, but don’t get self conscious either I’d also say. It can be fun to post! And we’ll all be better for it!

Hope it's not gonna be your last, plenty of people blink out unfortunately.

I set this up hopefully to try to switch over from Reddit, which I just now logged out of, Bluesky and to a lesser degree Mastodon has effectively replaced Twitter and might do the same for Facebook, and Pixelfed is looking really good so far as an IG replacement.

I agree Pixelfed looks good, I'm just having a hard time actually finding content. Without any algorithm whatsoever, my feed is effectively blank.

Never used any sort of microblogging platform, so I'll skip mastodon and bluesky, just don't get the point.

How’s Reddit these days? Haven’t been there in a long time.

[-] DFX4509B_2@lemmy.org 2 points 4 months ago

Lessee, as far as how they operate their site goes, they pretty much destroyed all third-party front-ends by locking their API down, content-wise it varies between being a crazy place and an outright cesspit.

It's even more toxic than it used to be. I was just on there today. Now I now why I don't go there anymore! lol

Welcome to the community, by the way. My name I go by is Leni, though I go by a number of nicknames (more than one actual names in fact due to parentage) and all are okay.

Hi,

I think this is my first stuff on Lemmy. I'll wait a bit before posting a post, I'm not as brave as you ;)
