Trump said Thursday that he wants to root out “anti-Christian bias” in the U.S., announcing that he was forming a task force led by Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate the “targeting” of Christians.

Trump said the task force would be directed to “immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the DOJ, which was absolutely terrible, the IRS, the FBI — terrible — and other agencies.”

And Trump took a victory lap over his administration’s early efforts to roll back diversity, equity and inclusion programs and to limit transgender participation in women’s sports.

It's easy to eliminate something when it's just made up.

[-] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago

Yet this still won't stop chuds from crying about this same made up bullshit

Being sent to a concentration camp full of Reddit atheists would honestly be the worst punishment ever. Just waterboard me at that point.

Me screaming 'SHOOT ME' to the guard after being subjected to the fifth 'Akshually' in the last 45 minutes

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Tossing little pieces of gravel through the fence at the side of the guard's helmet and going "psst! Hey!" while he tries his best to ignore my requests to be magdumped like pain

[-] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

They'll never make you talk, because you know that if you talk, you'll just go back to the Reddit atheists.

It's only false idolatry if it's a literal golden calf, this is just sparkling materialism

[-] Lemmygradwontallowme@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

Nag that's Mammon worship

[-] CthulhusIntern@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

The writers of reality need to take a writing class, they're way too ham-fisted with the symbolism.

[-] Fishroot@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago

This is the golden pager given to trump, the wood stand is a chopped down olive tree. you can`t get more ham-fisted than that

[-] Taster_Of_Treats@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago

I thought it was Lebanese Oak

[-] Fishroot@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago

apparently it's a Lebanese Olive tree, the grain seems to match an olive tree grain

IIRC the biblical anti-christ is supposed to be an obvious conman and you'd think this would be a sign of that. However, there's a bigger question: considering that evangelicals (and mormons, and probably others) have syncretized moloch worship, is this even "anti-christian" behavior any more?

I think we can assume that what the Americans perceive as Christianity is Heretic in nature. I can see eventually per say, the American Catholic Church naturally evolved into a shittier version of the Orthodox-like Church where you don't even get the prestigious ornate churches, but you are going to get Mega churches that canonize all the US presidents and confederates as saints

He told lawmakers there that his relationship with religion had “changed” after a pair of failed assassination attempts last year and urged Americans to “bring God back” into their lives.

Don't do adventure-time, but especially don't do it if you suck at it.

And if you do, we disavow.

Can't think of a more deserving group of suppression than christians.

stalin-approval

[-] KoboldKomrade@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

Natopedia calls it "persecution" but anyone having to sit through 18+ years of indoctrination knows that christians deserve 1000x worse then anything the USSR did. How many billions have christians killed and maimed in the past 100 years? Where's the black book of christiandom?

Not to mention the SA, physical abuse, emotional trauma, etc etc, they do daily in their temples. I got off "easy" just getting my brain damaged.

Side note, did anyone else going to church hear stories about "persecution" in China/the USSR that you later learned was just 100% made up. I heard stories about

CW torturepeople being blinded and deafened (loss of hearing) with hot pokers

that I later learned was literally just US-gov backed misinfo from the cold war repeated through so many layers it was believed. IIRC that specific one started as a "this COULD happened to you if the Reds win!" and ended up as a "personal story" of a "communism survivor".

[-] TheBroodian@hexbear.net 33 points 1 week ago

Lmao separation of church from what again?

[-] Beaver@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago

The Republican Party makes a lot more sense if you think of it as a strategic alliance between rich businessmen and religious fundamentalists. They can give each other what they want without stepping on each other's toes.

He said woke is done. Will the right wingers stop talking about it?

[-] thelastaxolotl@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

They will complain either about DEI holdouts or the return of it

[-] LaGG_3@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

They'll just think of a new name for the same shit they always complain about

[-] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 1 week ago

What's up with everyone not naming their inquisition "Inquisition" anymore?

[-] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago

It’s actually amazing seeing whatever direction the US takes. Something like this shouldn’t surprise me and yet I still find myself shocked.
