They're probably referring to the Medog Hydropower Station, which has attracted a lot of attention because the river flows into India, which means that there are international consequences for the development. The Chinese gov has done their usual above-market compensation of people affected by plans, but it has nevertheless attracted protests from the affected population. There are also environmental concerns, prompted by the massive potential impact of the build, which will have three times the generative capacity of the Three Gorges Dam.

Personally I'm inclined to think that the international outrage is overblown as usual with China, and that the dam will bring far more good than bad.

It was Biden's advisors immediately after being brought onto the Kamala campaign IIRC. The line between incompetence and sabotage is thin

This is what you get when you make a fantasy world were certain races are born evil, it attracts all the racist freaks that want to live out their genocide fantasies.

What's wild is that Drizz't appeared in the Icewind Dale books back in 1988, making it canon that in D&D you aren't born with a certain alignment just because of your race, but some people still cling to this outdated idea thirty-seven years later.

Death Stranding is a game that grows on you real slowly. If the second is anything like the first, then that's the difference right there.

go back in time

have a bunch of records of classic songs, plan to "write" them and get rich

none of the songs become hits

every musician I stole from gets rich with a different "hit"

mfw I learn that the music industry is all industry plants

Drones have a pretty big advantage over piloted aircraft in stealth terms because of their small size, the whole next generation of aircraft will be built around them.

Honestly it seems like the countries that skipped fifth gen fighters got the best deal here. Even China's newest ones are probably going to have a very short life cycle, and lmao rip the f-35 is going to cost two or more trillion dollars and accomplish nothing.

Kurtzman is such a hack. The whole "oh you think your society is good well I'll have you know it's actually made possible by BAD PEOPLE doing BAD THINGS in the SHADOWS" is the kind of shit that a teenager would think is really smart. Coming up with ways for the Federation to uphold its principles in the face of challenges to them would actually be much smarter than defaulting to a vision of the CIA in space.

And it's totally fine to explore the idea that the Federation doesn't always live up to its ideals. That's the theme of a lot of episodes in every series. But New Trek has lost track of the fact that the Federation has ideals in the first place and its become pulp sci fi slop.
