We should have gone with the Morganthau Plan

That's a good point. All of my other examples, save maybe parts of Morrowind rely on visual or thematic storytelling over literary. Elden Ring sneaks it in via like...wierd correspondences between lighting and a statue you saw on the other side of the map 5 hours ago that combine to make a meditation on Hemingway.

You've heard of armoured trains now here's trained armour.

Ive found it mostly useless. It constantly ignores simple commands like (make image a full length portrait). The writing is d tier at best, and it tends to collapse upon itself quickly.

Also it has no idea of context. Ask it to say..."draw a woman wearing a 1770s dress in a historically accurate manner", and it will instantly draw something that is wrong even to a rank novice who cant tell panniers from a farthingale.

This is the right take. It's hard to imagine that Ukraine has lost less than 100,000 deaths and 300-400,000 permanent disabilities based on mobilisation data alone. Russia 2-3 times this amount just on the nature of attack vs defence, though now with a better ratio as Ukraine weakens.

But really these are ballpark fugures at best. It could be half this, it could be an order of magnitude more. But it's definitely not Zelensky's 30k.

Narnia, The Fionavar Tapestry, and of course the ur example of Lest Darkness Fall which started the power fantasy creep.

Yeah, I think a lot of Anglos think South Africa was like segregation in the south, when it was a totally different thing which I want to say was worse but obviously segregation was and arguably still is a horrific hellscape and a permanent blight on humanity.

Often there are limits to how much a landlord can raise the rent. And there are software programs and consultants and landlord groups egging each other on to raise prices.

So they kick out the tenant thinking they can triple the rent, but since they have no actual knowledge of the market like a large scale real estate management company they outprice anyone who'd actually rent out.

Either that or it's tax evasion.

"Butt Kicking! For Goodness!" -Minsc, BG2

"April: How can you do that? How can you remember every story ever told?

The Teller: The secret is to tell them often, and to tell them in your own words, not the words of your ancestors.

April: Doesn't that mean that the stories change with every generation?

The Teller: Yes, as all Tales must. Change is important, otherwise the Tales will have no meaning to us... They will be just words, and we do not care about the words. We care about what the words tell us."

I'd also say most of his numbers are utterly wrong and overstated, because he used the stats of the atypical political prisoner gulags he was in (which weren'teven typical for the average poltitical prisoner.)

We know this because after the USSR fell we got access to the real stats.
