The foreign ministry spokesperson statement was early Thursday morning in a press briefing. There were at least 3 different news agencies who asked whether China was it had negotiated with the US. The FM speaks in Mandarin and the translation is open to interpretation. Whether the FM said "fake news" in Mandarin, I am not sure.
After a meeting in the afternoon between Trump and the PM of Norway, a press reporter asked Trump about his negotiations with China. This reporter says "They're saying that it is 'fake news' that trade talks are happening." I'm not sure who this press reporter is, Trump calls him "Jeff".
As the other person pointed out, "Fake News" was a term that Trump hijacked to cover up for the fact that maga easily believe fake information. It's in the same vein as conservatives hijacking "trust the science" to be transphobic or hijacking "my body my choice" to be against vaccinations.
My post said that 4chan culture has become mainstream culture. 4chan has influenced society in weird ways. I'm not sure why you think that I'm saying that 4chan is the deep state. My reference to a withering state was not literal, it was meant to be a funny comparison.
I first visited 4chan in either 2007 or 2008. If I had told the average person about 4chan in 2008, they would not understand any of it. Even as late as 2014, if I said the word "meme" aloud, people would think I am an alien.
People used to have to go to 4chan to 4chan memes. Now you can see it everywhere. You can see it on twitter or reddit or sometimes even outside.

Adoption of 4chan culture is not even just a right wing thing. Libs idolize the mythical figure of "Anonymous". One of the largest resistance lib accounts on twitter right now is YourAnonCentral, an account which claims to be the Anonymous. The myth of Anonymous came from 4chan during their protests against Scientology in 2008. Anonymous wears the Guy Fawkes mask because of 4chan meme called EFG (Epic Fail Guy).
If the white house tweets the phrase "beanis" or "piss owl", then I will say that hexbear culture has become mainstream.
I saw Felix retweeted Matt's post and referred to Matt as "Professor of the Economy from The Academy of Business" and it seemed like a funny pundit title you would see on CNN or something.
This is not a full league. It's not 3.26. They have done these types of intermediate in the past, such as infinite delve league, krangled league, mayhem league.
People complained about POE 3.26 being delayed and it worked.

You can change your in-game chat channel. You type "/global #" into the chat but replace # with a number. I like channel 4040, which is a channel for achievement completion, but it always has the same group of people in there and there is friendly chatter. Channel 5055 is the designated reddit channel.
POE 2 feels really bad. I've done 40/40 on 10 POE expansions (completed the game 100%, 10 times).
It feels like POE 2 was modeled after Ruthless Mode in POE 1. Ruthless Mode is a game mode in POE 1 that is only really liked by one streamer named Kripparian. Kripparian is a blizzard-fanboy who only played POE 1 in the beta and complains that POE 1 is too rewarding and easy. One time I watched a Kripparian video where he explained that he buzzes his hair short because he doesn't shower often and doesn't want people to notice from greasy hair. Ruthless mode has existed in POE 1 for 5 POE expansions now. Every expansion Kripparian plays ruthless mode for 1-2 weeks and then quits because it's too hard to play the game with barely any items. (Duh!)
Ruthless mode is a mode of POE 1 where the crafting bench is removed, monsters barely drop any loot, skill gems are only obtained from monster drops, bosses go back to full HP when you die, all movement skills have been removed. Everyone in the POE 1 community hates ruthless mode. Only like less than 1% of POE 1 players think that ruthless mode is good. Nobody who plays Ruthless Mode has actually even completed the game.
All of the characteristics of Ruthless Mode have transferred to POE 2. There's no movement skills, you can only dodge roll. If you become surrounded, you are trapped and die. You can't move through enemies at all, Normal monsters take 5-6 hits to kill. Barely any loot drops. If you die, the whole zone repopulates and resets and you lose any items that were on the ground. Bosses are very difficult to kill. Most of the bosses have abilities that are hard to avoid and kill you in 1 hit. If you die, the boss respawns with full health. The bosses drop very little loot. You will lose 10 times to every boss before beating it. Almost everything kills you in 1 hit because barely any items drop and they removed most of the defensive passives from the passive tree. There's very high difficulty and very little reward.
I'm wishing GGG would have just released another POE1 expansion instead of this. The next POE1 expansion (3.26) was supposed to be released this month but they delayed it until March because of POE 2.
GGG just uploaded this video saying that they've passed 1 million game keys redeemed. That's over 1 million expected players.
I'm not sure what you're not understanding about "all 50 states have different proprietary ID designs". Proprietary as in, secret, as in unknown to the public, as in you can't just make the software yourself. As in, each of these states are intentionally hiding the information because they don't want pornhub to be able to actually ID visitors. The answer to your question is "no". No they can't just pay the government for that software.
As I said, they already worked out a system with Louisiana. Louisiana actually cooperated. The other states are not cooperating. The other states are right wing dominated states that are being obtuse on purpose.

The entire front page of hexbear is constantly littered with gibberish inside baseball by like 10 people. For a brief period of time when Hexbear federated with lemmy, hexbear accidentally had a somewhat decent algorithm so that the front page wasn't littered with garbage posts all the time and what happened? The devs brought back the old algorithm which promotes spamming nonsense. This same algorithm is what allowed users like LiberalSocialist to gain so much engagement.

If you want private communication, you have to encrypt your emails with PGP/GPG. You could also connect to the email with a VPN, this is an additional layer of security, not an alternative to GPG encryption. There is no email provider that you can trust.
