Write a headline, refute it in the tagline

The issue with NASA was that they were the sole client for one industry until recently, and they choose to pick one or two companies to work with to simplify their own admin (as well as grease palms since it's a political entity in a capitalist state).

That creates monopoly and immediately defeats any possible benefit from "natural selection" in the market. They also tend towards that because the most optimal configuration is a unified state run industry that is allowed to build up the institutional knowledge that their current private counterparts (Boeing and Lockheed) have, while also ignoring the drive for profits.

If there isn't already an industry in place that can meet those knowledge requirements (as is China's case), then allowing them to develop, then consuming them is the only really sustainable course of action.

Only the Soviets managed to build a new tech industry from scratch, and that took military development between 2 world wars and almost half a century, China managed to get there using a hybrid of those models in a decade.

I love the DPRK as much as the next person, but they really need to develop a posting economy there. For all it's faults, the internet and mass communication between countries really spoils a lot of the low hanging propaganda fruit.

Well, they're not lying. It was related to his continued well being and how that was an issue for the police who wanted that money.

I just want some good open source stuff that's moderated by real humans, this shit isn't really that computationally intensive to run at moderate scale. All the tech bros are just so over leveraged on capturing every modicum of data on their users that it's bloated.

Basically anyone could run a decently sized forum on a consumer PC for their immediate area without issue, but someone has to keep AWS alive or the American economy collapses...

Yeah, he actually did something unlike most empty suits they put forward. Also worked closely with "enemy states" being on the ISS and all

Higher wages?

No, we're organizing against flaccid displays of solidarity

Yeah, usually hundreds of dollars a day cash only and the cops just let them hold your vehicle (Even if it was towed after an accident).

Your choices are lawyer up or pay and both are really expensive. I think it was about $400 for one day after I got t-boned and the cops called in a predatory lot.

I've also seen them intentionally trash cars. Like towing a RWD on the back tires with the parking brake engaged.

I honestly think a Subaru would handle that better, Even though it's lower to the ground. Especially with a snorkel.

Not surprising given they had to rebuild their entire production chain from scratch after the embargos. It's honestly amazing they've been able to get back on their feet this quickly

Like Facebook. Starts out with "there should be a website that you can rate girls on" and in the process of implementation, ~~the REST architecture is born~~ GraphQL and React we're born.

Idea: Total garbage

Implementation: One of the more important things in modern web architecture (depending on how you structure your project, we used React for a while until Lemmy switched).
