I’m very disappointed by the lack of ‘The Middleman’ here. A very fun show with a very spunky Natalie Morales. Based on the graphic novels by Javier Grillo-Marxuach and Les McClaine, but the best part was that Javier Grillo-Marxuach was the show runner so it really didn’t lose that crazy fun factor of comic books nuttiness. Seriously rock eating aliens, zombie flying fish, boy bands trying to take over the world. It only got 12 Episodes and it’s still got 100% on rotten tomatoes and even over an 8 on IMDb.

Honestly I love how much Kate Mulgrew grew in to the character. Janeway is such an interesting character and she turned in a really complex and interesting performance.
Plus Hologram Janeway is so much fun.
It was less about the studio meddling and a bit more about the people who were involved weren’t in awe of George. His, at the time, wife was the editor on the first movie and she made a lot of changes in the editing bay to improve what was a bit of a mess they say. And don’t discount the amount of rewrites done on the fly by the cast. Carrie was taking everyone scripts and punching them a lot and she went on to become one of best punch up writers in Hollywood. Even Harrison Ford, a notoriously shy and conflict avoidant guy, was improvising his lines because he knew that Han wouldn’t say “I love you, too” even facing being frozen in Carbonite.

I agree with you. There’s a really good 2 hour movie somewhere in that trilogy but it just needs a really good editor to cut out of all the bloat.

I got to second a recommendation for Flight Attendant. Great show. Kelly Cuoco is much better then I expected and pretty much everything she’s put her hand to after Big Bang has been awesome.
