If only there were some other way to transport aid into Gaza. Maybe an existing pier or some kind of road. What a shame, I guess we’ll just have to spend another third of a billion on dragging the worlds most expensive artificial reef off the sea floor

gay and minority people are not any more or less political than straight white men. representing them in games is not inherently politically motivated. there are plenty of people complaining about good games in these terms, so you're not really addressing what they're mocking here.

if you want to talk about rainbow capitalism and diversity marketing bullshit we can go there, but that doesn't seem to be the point you're making here.

I think the “fit for uses reasonably intended” is probably the more relevant clause here. A dipshit landlord could try to argue that hot water is a luxury or something, but have a much harder time arguing that it’s unreasonable to expect hot water to work as initially sold and provided. Depends on how “fit for human habitation” is legally defined.

The line between problem and solution for C should be 30 miles long.

a) Organizations and Conferences

  1. Insist on doing everything through “channels.” Never permit short-cuts to be taken in order to expedite decisions.
  2. Make “speeches.” Talk as frequently as possible and at great length. Illustrate your “points” by long anecdotes and accounts of personal experiences. Never hesitate to make a few appropriate “patriotic” comments.
  3. When possible, refer all matters to committees, for “further study and consideration.” Attempt to make the committees as large as possible—never less than five.
  4. Bring up irrelevant issues as frequently as possible.
  5. Haggle over precise wordings of communications, minutes, resolutions.
  6. Refer back to matters decided upon at the last meeting and attempt to re-open the question of the advisability of that decision.
  7. Advocate “caution.” Be “reasonable” and urge your fellow-conferees to be “reasonable” and avoid haste which might result in embarrassments or difficulties later on.
  8. Be worried about the propriety of any decision—raise the question of whether such action as is contemplated lies within the jurisdiction of the group or whether it might conflict with the policy of some higher echelon.-

Every time someone tells you how little power a president has to realize his political objectives I want you to think about how eager, steadfast, and unilateral Biden has been in assisting a foreign country in the waging of a genocidal war. Then imagine he put that kind of political will behind literally anything positive.

People who treat driving as some kind of competition should have their license permanently revoked.

He’s vetoing things to create a record of centrist policy decisions in the run up to his inevitable presidential bid. It’s careerism, any other justification he provides is just smoke.

If that’s their plan it’s incredibly stupid. They’re really underestimating the lethality of ecological collapse, and overestimating the ability of their wealth to mitigate it. Their best bet at survival is being holed up in a bunker by themselves living an austere subsistence life with maybe some close family. There’s not going to be anything to rule over.

Does anyone even install these mods or do they just exist for people to get outraged at?
