Aha, solved it, I hadn't selected English in languages setting, so it was hiding everything. Thank you for pointing it out.
Oof, wouldn't that have been hiding a huge number of posts from your feed? Lemmy must have seemed really quiet
I posted about this on !youshouldknow@lemmy.world, seems like quite a few new joiners are having the issue
