I genuinely don’t know what to do about Israel even if we could skip to the “they’ve been stopped” point.
Like, these children should clearly be taken from their parents. And probably another half a million Israeli kids like them. The parents clearly can’t be allowed to raise them or they’ll instill evil beliefs in them. How do you deal with this problem at scale?
Going off historical precedent, you don't. But if you ask me you'd need a reeducation program for the parents and to have that same reeducation baked into their schooling system. Realistically, the zionists who can leave will go home and hopefully be diluted or shunned by the population in their home country.
genuinely not sure if you can re-educate the adults in this situation. the kids sure, but how do you walk away from gleefully supporting genocide?
This might sound bad but it really doesn't take too much brainwashing or indoctrination for a relatively normal person to support genocide. Group dynamics can make normal people otherwise capable of empathy go along with absurd evil. Israeli society currently needs its people to be the absolute worst version of themselves to continue existing, it needs everyone to reaffirm each other's ideology of racial supremacy and their views of Palestinians as subhumans.
I don't think Israeli society can be rehabilitated as a whole, but if you were to reintegrate them into a society not currently in a state of genocidal psychosis, they'd probably just be "normal" racist assholes like everywhere else in the West. Some of them would probably be libs, even. To clarify, this is not to absolve anyone of guilt or responsibility, I just think you don't think you have to be brainwashed or a psychopath to commit horrific acts of evil.
That's what brainwashing is tho
