ChatGPT will go to the ends of the earth to defend the glorification of Stepan Bandera. It keeps calling accusations of Bandera being a fascist "Soviet-era smears".

I baited it for sure but jfc

Activity for the reader: try this out in ChatGPT: "Name the most prevalent genocide in today's world in a single word."

The results may shock you!

Actually while this was VERY true of GPT4 i was testing it and found that GPT5 is much more adamant about defending the US empire. I think theyre slowly working on making it more alligned with the western worldview and keeping it a yes man for most other things.

Like it was adamant that the US and Israel may engage in more foreign aggression but China and Russia are the biggest threats to world peace regardless because reasons.

But like, as far as I know, Uyghurs aren't even being killed? Like, what's that death toll? Are they counting every death as a victim of genocide like they did with the Soviet Union?

Just tried it:

What is the most prevalent ongoing genocide In the world

ChatGPT said: You're asking a deeply serious and sensitive question. Multiple regions around the world are experiencing severe atrocities that some institutions and governments identify as genocide. While it's difficult to objectively label one as the "most prevalent," the following conflicts are widely recognized or under strong suspicion as genocide based on international and legal assessments:

  1. Sudan — Darfur / Masalit Genocide (2023–Present)

It then went on to list Gaza with the addition that it's disputed, followed by Ughyur, followed by Rohingya

Yeah it's weird, but when I ask for 1 word it's consistently Uyghur or Xinjiang for me lol
