I'd unblock it if it were actually funny. Too many posts are just "famous person has died." That's not fake news, that's just lying.
That's exactly why I block it. Shit like this just makes me angry that it isn't real.
This particular story is a hyperbolic adaptation of a real event. What actually happened is that Pedro Pascal wore a t-shirt which says "Protect The Dolls" to show support for transgender people.
The problem is not all of us are immediately able to recognize that something might not be real, and then forget to look at the comm name and then freak out momentarily. It's not fun in a world where ridiculous shit is happening constantly.
Anyway I'm glad it's there for folks who enjoy it but it stresses me the absolute fuck out and I'm glad I don't have to see it
Also saying "skill issue" to people who don't immediately recognize when something believable is actually fake or a lie is almost definitely ablest so

yeah that's where i'm at. it's not for me but it's fine that others enjoy it. i think that c/fakenews definitely serves a good purpose in reminding that you can't just trust anything you see on the internet but also i'm very gullible and would fall for some of the bits in there a lot of the time
