Image is of destruction and damage inside Israel, sourced from this article.

Iran and Israel have struck each other many times over the last few days. There has been a general focus on military facilities and headquarters by both sides, though Israel has also struck oil facilities, civilian structures and hospitals, and in return for this, Iran has struck major scientific centers and the Haifa oil facilities.

Israel appears to have three main aims. First, to collapse the Iranian state, either through shock and breakdown by killing enough senior officials, or via some sort of internal military coup. Second, to try and destroy Iranian nuclear sites and underground missile cities, or at least to paralyze them long enough to achieve the first and third goals. And third, to bring the US into a direct conflict with Iran. This is because the US better equipped to fight them than Israel is (though victory would still not be guaranteed depending on what Iran chooses to do).

Iranian nuclear facilities are hidden deep underground (800 meters), far beyond the depth range of even the most powerful bunker busters (~70 meters or so), and built such that the visible ground entrances are horizontally far away in an unknown direction from the actual underground chambers. Only an extremely competent full-scale American bombing force all simultaneously using multiple of the most powerful conventional (perhaps even nuclear) bunker busters could even hypothetically hope to breach them (and we have seen how, in practice, American bunker busters have largely failed to impair or deter Ansarallah). There are several analysts on both sides who have concluded that it is entirely impossible to physically prevent Iran from building nukes.

I fully expect the US to join the war. I believe the current ambiguity is a deliberate invention of the US while they work to move their military assets into position, and as soon as they are ready, the US will start bombing Iran. After that, Iran's leadership must - if they haven't already - harden their hearts, and strike back with no fear, or risk following the path of Libya, Syria, and Iraq, either into either surrender, occupation, or annihilation. Every day where they do not possess a nuke is a day where lives are being lost and cities are being bombed.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.
https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

I’m assuming the US will wait until Friday after the markets close

The US is literally using his country and Diego Garcia as a staging ground.

[-] WeedReference420@hexbear.net 19 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Reminder that Kevin Schutzstaffel is such a fascist cuck to the American establishment that he was pushing for the deportation and 60 year high security incarceration of an autistic guy who brute forced NASA/US Military websites looking for evidence of UFOs, a vicious act of pointless and vindictive cruelty that was eventually stopped by famous bleeding heart pinko Theresa May. I have no doubt that if a senior American politician gave him a loaded gun and told him to kill his whole family execution style for his career he'd do it in a heartbeat.

[-] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 13 points 4 hours ago

Diego Garcia is especially fucked. We stole the islands from the native inhabitants (many are still alive btw), built an airstrip on it, then literally last year offered the islands back apart from the airstrip at the request of Biden.

Without DG the US would not be able to stage B-2 bombers from its own soil into Iran without some serious Falklands-style refuelling efforts. That is without convincing some other country to allow the US to bomb another country from their territory (which could still happen if you're a west asian country looking to suck up to the Americans)

Whoever mentioned Threads earlier in the week was spot on, way more than I'm comfortable with. I'm not sure I'd recommend watching it though, I did after hearing it referenced a couple times and it was truly alarming and stomach churning for me, and I'm not easily bothered. I can only compare it to grave of the fireflies, but with none of the ghibli magic and portraying an even more grim situation.

[-] barrbaric@hexbear.net 7 points 3 hours ago

It wasn't that bad of a watch imo (barring the fact that it needs a massive CW for SA), and it gets a bit silly in the

spoilerpost-apocalypse where apparently children speak some new wasteland slang instead of normal english despite going to school

[-] aanes_appreciator@hexbear.net 13 points 4 hours ago

It is truly a fantastic film, if only for the harrowing and sinister nature it gives. I've watched it 3 or 4 times now.

https://archive.org/details/threads_202007

Content warning: I do mean it's harrowing and sinister. You will likely find some of it distressing.

[-] DornerStan@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Threads and Come and See are the only good antiwar movies

edit: although obv the historical context of Come and See doesn't allow the Soviet people the choice over whether to go to war or not

[-] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 47 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Ballistic missile attack against Israel from Iran ongoing as of 21:19 UTC. So far only 5 missiles launched, and all the footage is of one non intact re-entry vehicles breaking apart. But attack still ongoing.

Missile attack over as of 21:29 UTC.

[-] Torenico@hexbear.net 15 points 5 hours ago

No more launches from Yemen though? Why do you think they're holding back?

Also no more strikes against Ansar Allah too?

[-] MarmiteLover123@hexbear.net 6 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

There have been a few over this war, but Yemen can only launch 1-2 missiles at a time, and all their missile are of Iranian design, even if there's local manufacturing taking place. Iranian supply lines are stretched, to put it lightly.

a-little-trolling

You know, folks are saying that what we’re doing - what I’m doing - is called edging. Mike Cernovich, we love Mike, very smart guy, told me that. My people say, “Sir, your negotiating style is very much like edging.” And I said, thank you. Thank you very much. Very sophisticated. Very advanced. Frankly, very high-level negotiating.

The press asks, “Are we going into Iran? Are we not going into Iran?” And I say, maybe yes, maybe no. That’s the art of edging, folks. You bring it right to the brink. Right to the very edge. Right to the point. Some people can’t take it, quite frankly. The generals? Nervous. Sweating. “Sir, we need clarity.” I say, “No. You need edging.” Beautiful thing. You make them wait. You keep them excited. The tension builds. Builds beautifully. Some people say it’s the most beautiful thing they’ve ever seen.

Obama never edged. Hillary? Didn’t even know what edging was. Sleepy Joe thinks it’s lawn care. Little trimmer guy. Very sad. I do the real edging. With nations. The Ayatollah’s sitting there, saying, “What’s happening? Are they coming? Are they not coming?” And I’m sitting back, folks, just edging them. For weeks, months, sometimes years.

Some say, “Sir, you can’t edge forever.” I say, “Watch me.” We’re doing it strongly. Very powerfully. Nobody edges like me. Some say I invented edging. The Trump Edge. Everybody’s talking about it.

Sleepy Joe thinks it’s lawn care. Little trimmer guy. Very sad.

this is so perfect lmao

🇺🇸🇮🇷| Satellite images show US evacuated all of its aircrafts from the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar.

This includes jets from the US, UK and Qatar. This could mean that the US is preparing for attacks against Iran, just like how they evacuated their diplomatic staff from Iraq the night before Israel’s attack on Iran

https://xcancel.com/AryJeay/status/1935431832486441008#m

the U.S. should evacuate all of its jets from all of its bases in the world
