you need to open it up, look at it lovingly, smack it and say, ‘you can fit soooo many dawgs on here’

[-] Carl@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

same I have this charcoal grill that I really like but I'm not allowed to use it where I live berdly-nooooo

[-] SwagliacciTheBadClown@hexbear.net 11 points 3 weeks ago

Blew my mind for a second- I just gave away this same grill and thought I coincidentally gave it to a fellow poster - but different regions. Happy grilling though! I grilled and ate way too much baba ghanoush last night

Nice pickup!

Make sure to clean it before use those mfers catch fire. My buddy copped a used grill and didn't clean it and it got engulfed in flames.

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 7 points 3 weeks ago

They actually cleaned it before putting it out!

You go, grill

[-] 30_to_50_Feral_PAWGs@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

Those are decent grills! I like that you can actually get replacement parts for Webers, too. Although, if you end up needing to replace the grates or "flavorizer" burner shields, the Amazon alphabet soup brand "Qulimetal" makes some quality replacements, too. Congrats on the score matt-grillin

Nice good to know, this one is in REALLY good condition so that should not be a problem any time soon.

[-] mickey@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA, an elegant choice for connoisseurs, nice. 'Gratz on the free grill, perfect season for the score.

[-] Weedian@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago

the tropical one is my fav

[-] mickey@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Nice, something about the tropical one doesn't do it for me but I'm glad I'm not the only adult drinking beers with a cartoon skeleton on the label.

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago

I do also like the other one with the greenish can art I forget what that one is called. It's not fruity at all.

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago

True men of culture in this thread. All the voodoo rangers are delicious.

Game recognize game lol. I fuckin love that one.

They did a limited run of another one they called g force and it was like 11% and was basically same taste just even more alcohol and it slapped.

[-] mickey@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago

Hell ya, I'm lowkey trying to move away from stronger drinks but getting up into that wine ABV without tasting weird sounds pretty fun.

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago

ugh I hate wine because I hate grapes and I always taste the grapes. I also used to have problems with hard alcohol. I am still 100% an alcoholic but a functional one by way of limiting my self to strong IPAs and only drinking liquor on weekends or holidays.

[-] Arahnya@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

im always mad that grills require (different, and have to go out of my way) fuel, but free is a pretty good price for some grilled corn 😋 and onions!!!

Weber actually makes good grills. I've had a number of BBQs and they all go shitty no matter how good the care I try to give them is. My latest one is a Weber and it's been going strong for about a decade.

My family went through 2 high-end Webbers. The grilling bits lasted a long time, as did the doors, but the structures holding up the grill and tanks fully rusted out within 10 years both times.

We got value out of them, but they don't last forever. The company also replaced a smoker free of charge after they saw how badly it rusted.

fully rusted out within 10 years both times.

oof I live right by the ocean so corrosion is my biggest fear. I do have a storage space to put it in tho. Biggest thing I worry about is the gas line. Otherwise it's all stainless steel exterior.

Also it was free so who gives a shit lol. If I didn't drag this thing back to my apartment it was gonna end up in a landfill.

My dad's got a really nice wood pellet fired smoker that he's gonna give me in exchange for a shitty ninja foodi indoor grill but at this rate i'm literally never going to save up the llike 300 dollars it would take

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago
[-] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

No it's like 300 to buy my dad the indoor grill he wants. Im underpaid and every single time i make a change in my life to save money i.e. quit drinking in January something like a war with fucking Iran happens haha woops inflation so i'm never ever ever more financially secure. Im about to be unemployed for two months due to the summer too, and my partner is losing her job

[-] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 2 points 3 weeks ago

Fuck that sucks cuddle

[-] infuziSporg@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

Are those actual tree trunks up against the house, or were they chopped and put there?
