Well, he is the president Americans deserve. I don't know who is more representative of the American soul though, Musk or Trump. They're both so American.
Trump will change the laws after he wins the next election and Musk will be the Republican candidate for 2028. This will start a precedent of the office of president being a kind of rubber stamp for influential billionaires and the position will lose all meaning, similar to the Pontifex Maximus in ancient Rome. The liberal party will become openly controlled opposition who will openly flaunt how much of a sham US democracy is. Libs will still insist that every election is the "most important election of our lives"
Musk is the sort of glutton for punishment as shown with twitter that if he could he probably would run for president. Unlike say Zuckerberg who dipped his toes and said "you know what? Not for me".
He loves attention and feeling important, and thinks he can just throw toddler's temper tantrum to solve any issue he has. There's no way he would ever turn down the chance to become president.
