Deltarune tomorrow! By which I mean June 5th

[-] Moss@hexbear.net 9 points 3 days ago

I finished my final college exam. I'm done now. I will never do another undergrad exam.

It definitely could have gone better, but I did put in a lot of effort and really tried. I was very depressed during the semester and barely learned anything, so to learn as much as I did in five days of studying is not so bad. I think I passed, and at this point, that'll do

Replaying Deltarune in preparation for chapters 3 and 4 next month, it's still so much fun. I've forgotten a lot of the jokes so they're funny to me again. I've noticed this time that I really appreciate the visual design of chapter one a lot more. The music is obviously amazing, I don't get annoyed running into fights accidentally because Rude Buster is like a top 5 Toby Fox song. Field of Hopes and Dreams is also up there.

This is a big question, and not actually news, but you are all well-read nerds so I figure you can help me out. Why was it that 1700s Europe was able to industrialise and allow capitalism to emerge, but not other societies? What societal structures prevented, say, classical Greece or medieval China or the middle east in the golden age of Islam, from utilising steam power? Why did burghers emerge in Europe as a powerful class? If anyone could point me to some reading about this topic, that would be great.

Also, a fun worldbuilding idea I've played with is ancient Rome or Greece undergoing a sort of industrial revolution and utilising steam power. What changes would have to occur for this to happen?

at the end of most college modules i end up thinking "damn this is actually fun, i should have paid more attention to this when i had the chance" which is what im currently doing

Their colour is so misleading, because red food should be like really tangy and strong. Either sweet like a strawberry or cranberry, or savoury like ketchup. Tomatoes taste like they should be a pale green or yellow, but they're red. It's fucked up.

"Ha! These brainwashed foreigners think we have functional infrastructure, those fools"

Also in like book 12 or something they get a bipedal pig who wears clothes as a pet

My submission is maybe the most obvious, Soviet flag over the Reichstag

It can be anything, photograph, painting, meme, screenshot of CCTV footage of a CEO getting domed in the street, etc

152

Trump elected in landslide victory

Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire (immediately violated by Israel)

French government collapse

South Korean martial law (just a joke though)

CEO shot in the street

Romanian election results overturned

Colour revolution attempt in Georgia

Assad runs for his life

Isreali invasion of Syria

This is all in just over a month

At this rate I fully expect a Year of Four Presidents in America

Like the monkey would sleep in a hammock. In my room we would hang out and go on adventures.

I was really in the ADHD assessment saying I had no family history of neurodivergence, knowing damn well my dad and one of my sisters have the exact same symptoms of me

What I mean is that I have ADHD, I got diagnosed this summer, but sometimes I feel like I don't have ADHD in the right way. I struggl with ADHD a lot, and it really affects me, but for some reason I feel like I'm using it as an excuse or faking my symptoms. Even though I know I'm not?

ADHD affects me very negatively and it makes being in college way, way harder for me than other people. But hyperactivity is less of a symptom for me than other ADHDers (but still a thing), so i feel like im faking my condition.

Like, I have an official, medical diagnosis. Nobody thinks I'm playing up or faking my symptoms. So then why the hell do I get like this?

Also I very likely have autism but diagnosis is very expensive so that's another issue

😉

Nobody has ever used this in a good comment. It's either some dip shit being smug or some creep sexually harassing someone half their age

We don't have companies called Militech or anything, we have companies named shit like Poob. Palantir is the only suitably evil sounding company

Honestly I thought this would be a slam dunk for Trump after the assassination photo, then he completely failed to capitalize on that, then I thought it would be a slam dunk for Harris, then she did absolutely nothing to make her likeable and got an endorsement from Cheney. How are both presidential candidates so bad at running for president
