I’m not trying to troll, I’m genuinely curious. Thinking about deer specifically, it doesn’t seem like visual camouflage would really help much when hunting them. Deer sense predators by sensitive hearing (big ears) and smell (long snout). Their eyes are on the sides of their head, so they detect motion rather than high-resolution.

So trying to blend in with the surroundings doesn’t seem to be an advantage in this case. Assuming all this, what’s the point of clothing with camo print on it?

I am coming to you today with a request for help. I just published a new app on the App Store (Android coming soon if this thing gets any traction), called The Daily Cat. The premise is simple: at a random time every day, you'll be sent a picture of the daily cat. Everybody gets the same cat picture for that day. The app is free and has no ads or tracking.

So, what I'm asking from you is: pictures of cats! If you would like your cat(s) to be The Daily Cat, please pick your one or two favorite pictures and email them to meow@dailycat.app. I only ask that there are no people in the picture, and prefer funny, cute, or artistic pictures. Of course, by sending these, you consent for (nay, encourage!) them to be shown in the app.

Like, I get that dreams are probably a way for the brain to sort and store its recent experiences, but why/how do we even remember those dreams? I can’t think of what purpose that could serve, other than to make me question my sanity.
