There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

The Country of the Week is Palestine! Feel free to chime in with books, essays, longform articles, even stories and anecdotes or rants. More detail here.

Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

The weekly update is here.

The bulletins site is down.

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Add to the above list if you can.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

In Palestine we do not propose even to go through the form of consulting the wishes of the present inhabitants of the country… The four Great Powers are committed to Zionism. And Zionism, be it right or wrong, good or bad, is rooted in age-long traditions, in present needs, in future hopes, of far profounder import than the desires and prejudices of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit this ancient land.

  • Lord Arthur Balfour, 1919

Been reading about the British involvement in setting up the current situation… jfc they were evil. They deserve at least as much blame as the US. They knew full well what they were doing and the mess they were creating and did not care.

Fun fact about Lord Balfour… his government authored the 1905 Aliens Act, which was intended primarily to keep out Jews escaping pogroms in Russia at the time. Say, you don’t suppose this fellow didn’t have some deep love of the Jewish people, and instead had more nefarious reasons for supporting Zionism (like getting more Jews out of the UK)??? 🤔🤔🤔

🚨 BREAKING: Following the arrival of a US plane of weapons and equipment, the IOF is now using internationally-banned cluster bombs, as well as cruise missiles, to carry out massacres in #Gaza. This follows after several attacks by internationally-banned white phosphorus on #Gaza and Lebanon.

THEY’RE USING FUCKING CLUSTER BOMBS!?!?!???

Among the liberals who aren't openly supporting genocide, I've seen so much hand-wringing about "nuance". They're saying "yeah Israel is bad but Hamas is also bad so you see it's nuanced and therefore I don't need to actually have any kind of stance or do anything".

Like sure, it's a nuanced situation. It's complicated (not really but whatever). But thats not a conclusion! You can't just say "oh you know it's a really difficult situation" while people are fighting for liberation in ways that you don't like. "It's complicated" to liberals is a viewpoint, one which allows them to sit back and say "violence sure is bad" and never question why there is violence at all

The leaders of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States have released a joint statement regarding Israel. (whitehouse.gov link)

Today, we — President Macron of France, Chancellor Scholz of Germany, Prime Minister Meloni of Italy, Prime Minister Sunak of the United Kingdom, and President Biden of the United States — express our steadfast and united support to the State of Israel, and our unequivocal condemnation of Hamas and its appalling acts of terrorism.

We make clear that the terrorist actions of Hamas have no justification, no legitimacy, and must be universally condemned. There is never any justification for terrorism. In recent days, the world has watched in horror as Hamas terrorists massacred families in their homes, slaughtered over 200 young people enjoying a music festival, and kidnapped elderly women, children, and entire families, who are now being held as hostages.

Our countries will support Israel in its efforts to defend itself and its people against such atrocities. We further emphasize that this is not a moment for any party hostile to Israel to exploit these attacks to seek advantage.

All of us recognize the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people, and support equal measures of justice and freedom for Israelis and Palestinians alike. But make no mistake: Hamas does not represent those aspirations, and it offers nothing for the Palestinian people other than more terror and bloodshed.

Over the coming days, we will remain united and coordinated, together as allies, and as common friends of Israel, to ensure Israel is able to defend itself, and to ultimately set the conditions for a peaceful and integrated Middle East region.

The Empire is all in.

For context, Santon is the richest city block per square metre on the African continent. Hopefully it goes well for the protestors.

After repeated demands from residents: about 1000 m16 weapons will be provided to citizens in Judea and Samaria. The weapons will be provided to military graduates who meet the criteria. The final number and distribution of weapons has not yet been determined.

Not sure how accurate the translation is. Can't tell if it means reserve getting called up or giving weapons to anyone who has military training.

I have to admit, I'm still in shock that this is currently happening. Somehow, against all odds, the Palestinians are still occupying Israeli territory (or rather have reclaimed Palestinian land, obviously Israel are the real occupiers here). Over a thousand Israelis killed, and still no response by the IDF other than indiscriminate air strikes, the kind they've been doing for decades. And all this after years of outside commentators saying the movement for Palestinian liberation is dead. Whatever happens next, nobody can take this moment, this feeling, away. An unbelievable blow has been struck, indeed is still being struck.

M virtue signaling lib job is really rah rahing about the "terrorist attacks" and "seeing and hearing us" "you are valid" etc and I feel like I'm losing my mind

the sheer speed at which the narrative has formed is fucking scary, feels a bit like 9/11 . everyone is just going along with it, no questions asked and you're a monster if you point out that the Palestinians are being genocided.

Being pro-palestine would be effectively career suicide for me ofc so I just have to sit there and seethe

Wikipedia (to the surprise of no one here I'm sure) is in full propaganda mode along with the rest of the MSM, without even a pretense that it's not.

I happened to look up "Qassam rocket" (incidentally, due to an unrelated comment by @LargePenis@hexbear.net here) and this is what shows up in the ddg results for the wikipedia article.

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. These rockets cannot be fired to target specific military objectives in or near civilian areas, and are "indiscriminate when used against targets in population centers".

But all the bombs including cluster bombs and white phosphorous that Israel is using to flatten Palestinian neighborhoods have "surgical precision."

The Qassam rocket is a simple, steel artillery rocket developed and deployed by the Hamas military arm. It is used by Palestinian militants to target civilian targets in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it is too inaccurate and prone to malfunction.

Oh, those rockets are used exclusively by militants to target civilians. That's it though, they're made to single out civilians. Oh but they constantly malfunction no doubt because they're made by subhumans. I guess that explains why so many military targets get hit by them - the rockets were meant to kill civilians, but because they're so inaccurate, they end up hitting military installations instead. Makes sense.

Edit: I'm getting different results in the text each time I do the search. I guess they're editing it a lot right now. Each fucking entry still focuses on these rockets being specifically civilian-murder devices though.

Any other westerners feel that things have changed in less than 72 hours? Like, we are seeing how the propaganda machine works in real time. On Saturday, there were plenty of people giving support to Palestine or even spouting “both sides” opinions that even though they sucked, at least provided some superficial acknowledgement of Palestinian suffering. But now, early Tuesday morning, it feels like anything other than full-throated and uncritical support for the Israeli state is met with extreme hostility.

The AP is doing something simple that the vast majority of American reportage does not. They are talking to Gazans. In a shocker it turns out that hasbara and the reality on the ground are not the same.

Israel prepares for possible ground assault in Gaza as war deaths mount | AP News

Palestinian residents of the city of Beit Lahiya in the northern region of the Gaza Strip said Thursday that Israeli planes dropped flyers warning them to evacuate their homes and to head to "known shelters."

"Anyone who is near Hamas terrorists will put their lives in danger," the flyers said. "Adhering to IDF instructions will prevent you from being exposed to danger."

The area had already been heavily struck by the time the flyers were dropped. Shelters in the Gaza Strip are not safe from airstrikes — the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees has seen 10 of its shelters struck since the start of the operation.

Palestinians living the pummeled Strip have said that the military often has not alerted them before striking homes, or will alert them but not with enough time to evacuate before their homes are struck. Israeli defense officials have said that they attempt to provide warning before strikes.

Lindsey Ellis did a great video on it, but American culture gets super weird when US interests are being challenged internationally

I saw it in real time on SNL last night and before a few football games today. It’s so ominous how they’re ignoring the outright slaughter of Palestinians to put the focus on “Israel being attacked by terrorists”

Do you think we could popularise the phrase "Cyberfascism" as a label for all the content that games companies keep churning out that they claim is "cyberpunk" when it's actually like "haha you get to play as a cop" or "haha you're a cyber mercenary, this is cyberpunk I definitely understand this genre" (Bungie's upcoming Tarkov-like game).

The opposite of cyberpunk in my mind is cyberfascism. And this content fits that label real well.
