Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

Zionist entity: Dropped a JDAM on a hospital killing hundreds of patients while lying to the world with a shit-eating grin

Hexbear: 200+ comment thread of Hey did you know not all Jews are Zionists

This is pathetic. And I checked the time. OP posted this concern-trolling right after the Zionists committed that heinous war crime. I'm surprised more people didn't call OP out for this very transparent attempt at directing attention away from the bombing. Literally pulling right out of the Zionist playbook as a form of misdirection.

The rest of Hexbear has Zionist apologists. They hide their Zionist apologia very well, perhaps even hiding the apologia from themselves, but it's there.

Israel says: "Gazans, go south to avoid the fighting!" Then Israel starts to shell the south and unfortunately there are civilian causalities. Funny how that works.

In this war is this Israel's first strike on southern Gaza causing deaths? Fuel trucks have just started going North from Egypt into Gaza.

At least 5 killed and 15 injured in Israeli airstrike in Rafah, Palestinian interior ministry says

At least five people were killed and 15 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a multi-story house in Rafah in the southern Gaza strip, the Palestinian interior ministry said Monday.

The ministry said the airstrike happened without prior warning from the Israel Defense Forces.

The IDF has not issued any comments about the strike.

Tsai Ing-Wen standing in solidarity with Israel, no words for Gaza if you were wondering how much solidarity the totally indigenous, totally organic taiwanese separatist party has.

Imagine an entire government full of Liz Warren types claiming indigenous ancestry despite being 100% settler, but there's nobody around to call them out on it. This is what Americans are clamoring to die for and defend.

I wonder when the first major international-community-1international-community-2 state will jump ship. The unwavering Israel support is a PR disaster.

My local newspaper has been completely uncritical of Israel so far, but even they can't bring themselves to say that it was Hamas who bombed the hospital, they just say "both sides are blaming each other". They're trying to pull some kind of "Islamic terrorism is back" narrative to fuel the anti-Hamas train, but it's not really sticking.

To most uninformed people, the optics were that Hamas pulled a mean sucker punch and Israel was fighting back, but now they just see Israel hitting Palestine over and over and over and over and over and over. Joe Brandon's reaction of "Okay guys, enough now, let's not go too far" encapsulates that pretty well. There aren't many more solid-sounding defense narratives anymore for Israel, I see a lot of "Well the numbers of dead Palestinians are from the health ministry which is controlled by Hamas", I saw some "A ceasefire would mean the normalization of antisemitic violence" and the obligatory "A lot of Palestinian civilians were killed by Hamas, actually". All of these are really, really bad defenses, I can't stress enough how much weaker these are than any pro-Ukraine narratives. It doesn't help that Israel is doing dumb shit like beefing with Gigi Hadid on Instagram and making an absolute mockery of themselves.

The longer this goes on, the more time passes since the attack on Israel, the steeper the uphill battle becomes that the propaganda has to fight and they're already losing.

  • Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, or MSF) has warned that thousands of wounded people in northern Gaza “are in serious danger of dying in the next few hours because it’s becoming impossible to get medical attention”.......The hospital – which the Palestine Red Crescent says Israel has ordered to be evacuated – is located in the southwest of Gaza City, in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood. It had previously been rebuilt after sustaining damage in Israeli air raids in 2009.

New analyses cast doubt on Israeli version of Al-Ahli Hospital bombing

from Al Jazeera

New analyses by the UK-based Forensic Architecture research group and the Earshot audio investigation group have again drawn into question the Israeli military’s account of the mass casualty bombing of Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday, which killed almost 500 people.

Both groups’ analyses specifically “cast doubt” on the Israeli military claim that the explosion at the hospital was caused by a failed Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) rocket fired from the southwest of the hospital, rather than an Israeli air attack as Palestinians have said.

Forensic Architecture analysed photos of the impact crater at the scene, saying that “patterns of radial fragmentation on the southwest side of the impact crater, as well as a shallow channel leading into the crater from the northeast” indicate the projectile likely came from the northeast – “the direction of the Israeli-controlled side of the Gaza perimeter”.

Chris Cobb-Smith, an investigator and explosives expert, also agreed the evidence indicated the projectile may have come from the opposite direction claimed by the Israeli military, according to Forensic Architecture.

Meanwhile, a so-called “Doppler Effect analysis” by Earshot, which looks at sound waves related to distance, found the missile likely approached from the northeast, east, or southeast, but not from the west as Israel’s military has claimed.

Earshot’s forensic analysis of an audio recording, purportedly of two Hamas fighters talking about a PIJ rocket released by the Israeli military, also showed that the audio was actually recorded on two separate channels and then edited together.

https://nitter.net/earshot_ngo/status/1715386409782046777

  • The IDF claimed the missile was fired by the Islamic Jihad from a south-western location. If this was the case, we would expect the pitch observed by this camera to increase continuously until the missile’s impact. #AlAhli #IDF 4/7

  • However, the Doppler Effect that we hear indicates that the missile was closer to the camera before hitting the hospital. This would mean that the missile approached the hospital from north-east, east or south-east

  • Asecond video captures the moment of the strike from around 1,500 meters north-west of the hospital. In this video, the missile can be heard moving with a less pronounced Doppler Effect, where the pitch is increasing up to the moment of the explosion.

  • This increasing pitch suggests the missile is continuously accelerating towards the camera until impact. The camera’s north-western location suggests an eastern missile trajectory, further decreasing the probability that the missile approached the hospital from south-west.

Isn't Real is projecting they will strike another hospital -

'We do not support genocide': Colombia's president considers breaking relations with Israel

The Israeli government summoned the Colombian ambassador to reprimand Petro's criticism of attacks in Gaza.

Colombia's president, Gustavo Petro, has stated that he may break diplomatic relations with Israel and that his government "does not support genocides". The statements, published by the president on his social networks this Sunday (15), come after the Israeli government summoned the Colombian ambassador to the country, Margarita Manjarrez, to provide clarifications due to Petro's criticism of Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip.

In diplomatic circles, the act of summoning the ambassador of a given country represents a measure of relief and tends to generate tensions between the governments involved. Furthermore, the Israeli government announced the suspension of exports of "security materials" to Colombia in retaliation for Petro's stance.

Colombia's Foreign Minister, Álvaro Leyva, today suggested to the Israeli ambassador that he leave the country after disagreements over the war in the Gaza Strip.

Zuckerberg is a vile fucker.

Facebook and Instagram users say their pro-Palestinian posts have been suppressed.

Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, said last week that it would enact temporary measures to push down extreme or graphic imagery coming out of Israel and Gaza. In doing so, thousands of Palestinian supporters now say that their posts have been suppressed or removed from Facebook and Instagram, even if the messages do not break the company’s rules.

In particular, messages of support for Palestinian civilians, many of whom have been displaced, injured or killed by Israeli airstrikes, are being removed from the platforms, users said. Some people have also reported that Facebook suppressed accounts that called for peaceful protests in cities around the United States, including planned sit-ins in the San Francisco Bay Area over the weekend.

🔴 The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

Today, Tuesday, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine denounces any Arab or Palestinian participation in meetings with the American war criminal Joe Biden, the main driver of the war of genocide against our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip.

The blood of the innocent martyrs in the [Al-Ahli Arab] Al-Maamadani Hospital massacre committed by the zionist enemy drips from the hands of the American war criminal Joe Biden and his zionist allies.

The decision to bomb the hospital was issued by the same zionist war room in which the criminal Joe Biden was present today during his visit to his war criminal allies.

These massacres, which exceeded any other, were the result of the inherent racist criminal tendencies of the leaders of the zionist entity and their allies in the American administration and the leadership of the European Union.

The minimum respect for Arab dignity and identity is for Arab officials to adopt a unified stance by withdrawing from the summit of shame with Biden, the killer of children, women, and the elderly; to boycott the American administration; to expel its military bases; and to close its embassies in the region. This must of course be preceded by a complete closure of the embassies of the state of aggression and zionist war crimes.

The Front calls on the masses of our people in the West Bank, Al-Quds, and the territories of 1948 to move and ignite a comprehensive intifada in the face of this criminal enemy and the herds of its settlers who are committing massacres against our people and our people in the Gaza Strip.

The Front also calls on the Arab masses to besiege the American embassies, the embassies of the European Union countries and the zionist entity, and their representative offices in all Arab capitals. It also addresses the same call to the forces around the world in solidarity with our people, to escalate actions and struggles against the aggression and against the embassies of the zionist entity, the American administration, and the European powers that are partners in this aggression.

This is the battle of Palestinian existence, Arab existence, and dignity. Half-hearted positions in it cannot be accepted. Our people will remain steadfast, proud, and tall, defending their land and their rights, the dignity of the Arab nation and the essence of its existence.

Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

Final edit: I do not think the two competing videos depict the same event. Still weird how such similar events happened exactly an hour apart. This means that the sequence of events I outlined are a mishmash of two separate things. I don't think the video showing the "flares" is from the hospital bombing.

pepe-silvia time.

From the videos we have seen it appears that several events happened in quick succession.

  1. Rocket salvo from Gaza
  2. Single rocket(?) from Gaza leading to 3
  3. Rocket intercepted/exploded high in the air (MANPAD shot at a plane? or a misfire/failed rocket?)
  4. Flares from an aircraft (??)
  5. Smaller explosion on the ground not at hospital
  6. Large explosion at the hospital
  7. See my edit, it appears there were even more explosions afterwards.

This video from the IDF released last night (which had been circulating before), shows 2, 3, 5, and 6, and afterwards a rocket salvo which I am not sure is actually 1 due to other footage: https://nitter.net/IDF/status/1714403025136017784, this is a similar video to what was shown on AJ Arabic, though without the ending: https://nitter.net/IDF/status/1714442617201586220

Some said this video was reversed, but I do not see any evidence of that, but I also fail to see how this shows a misfired rocket hitting a hospital. Whatever that single rocket was, exploded far above in the air.

Then there is this video, which shows 1, 4, and 6. Oddly, I do not see the first smaller explosion here, and what happens in the sky is clearly not 3 as clearly depicted in the first video. The idea that it is flares from an aircraft would make sense. Also note how the salvo is heading away from the hospital: https://streamable.com/hchxwx (same video without mark-up: https://old.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/17anen6/another_angle_of_the_hospital_explosion/)

Now here's a kicker. The video Israel's twitter posted today is from the same location as the above video (see the building at the edge of the frame), but cropped: https://nitter.net/Israel/status/1714593881801601043 (same video without crop: https://old.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/17an67c/video_by_israels_channel_12_showing_the_moment_of/)

Here, the salvo is coming from the other side of the frame, making it look like it is heading towards the hospital. Looking at the two videos together, it appears that one of these videos has been altered. I am leaning towards the second being the altered video as it is heavily cropped and worse quality than the first.

My own suspicion is that Israel knew Gaza would be firing a salvo, and timed/planned a strike so it could plausibly blame Gaza for killing its own civilians. If we look at how this shapes the media narrative, it has directed attention away from the daily bombings of civilians and infrastructure into a debate about who bombed the hospital. It has allowed Israel to claim that it would never strike a hospital, even though they have been doing that all week, and "confirming" that Gaza launches rockets with civilian infrastructure as a shield. This redirects anger back at Hamas and Gaza shoring up support that Israel seemed to be losing in MSM narratives due to, quite frankly, some of the worst and most sustained war crimes that have happened in my lifetime.

Any thoughts?

Here are questions I am left with:

  • What was 3? Something clearly exploded/disintegrated in the air. But what??
  • What was 4? It doesn't appear to be 3 judging on the videos.
  • What was the smaller explosion? I haven't seen anything on it. It wasn't the UNWRA school was it?
  • What exact time did the hospital strike happen at? It seems that people are arguing one way or another on twitter, and the two competing videos are timestamped an hour apart.... Edit: AJ says 7:30pm ("At least 500 people were killed in an explosion at al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City at around 7.30pm on Tuesday"), which doesn't match either timestamp.
  • Which video of the two released today is the correct one? Were the rockets heading towards or away from the hospital?
  • What can we make of the images released today of the small crater at the hospital? This thread has one theory: https://nitter.net/FSBRG/status/1714609431877431713

Edit: Here is a full clip the footage from AJ Arabic was from: https://nitter.net/Ted55643099/status/1714538028604019116, which shows even more explosions with timestamps.

edit 2: I have added alternate versions of the two competing videos. Another oddity emerges, one timestamp reads 19:59 and another 18:59. Very confusing...

edit 3: https://hexbear.net/comment/4122102

Settlers will spend years blowing the limbs off of peaceful protesters with sniper rifles and turning apartments full of children into rubble while the world ignores it. When there's retaliation, the whole world starts crying about how terrorism (us-foreign-policy) is wrong and bad and counterproductive and how this isn't the way for Palestinians to be heard (liberalism) and if they were just PEACEFUL (implication that Arabs are not capable of peace without the guiding cracker hand) then people would listen.

Well, if terrorism isn't effective, why are so many illegal settlers running scared back to amerikkka? Why are results being achieved now that were never even a remote possibility with peaceful protests? Perhaps if they don't want to be opposed violently, settlers shouldn't violently suppress their victims until every option but terrorism has been eliminated.

The worst argument is the "look at all the Palestinians dying (who would otherwise be fine) because of Hamas" argument. You have to lack the capacity for object permanence to believe this, or have never even heard of the state of Israel before. Either way, shut the fuck up.

Syrian media reports Israeli airstrikes hit airports in Damascus and Aleppo

Syrian state media reported that Israeli airstrikes early Sunday targeted the international airports of the Syrian capital Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo, killing one person. The runways were damaged and put out of service.

The attack is the second this month on the Damascus International airport and the third on Aleppo’s airport as tensions increase in the Middle East over the Israel-Hamas war.

Syrian state media quoted an unnamed military official as saying the airports were struck by the Israeli military from the Mediterranean to the west and from Syria’s Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in the south. It said one employee was killed and another wounded in Damascus in addition to material damage.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Since the war between Israel and Hamas started on Oct. 7, Israel has carried out several strikes in Syria including one on the Damascus airport and two on Aleppo’s airport putting them out of service.

Flights were directed in the past to an international airport in the coastal province of Latakia.

Israel has targeted airports and sea ports in the government-held parts of Syria in an apparent attempt to prevent arms shipments from Iran to militant groups backed by Tehran, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Thousands of Iran-backed fighters from around the region joined Syria’s 12-year conflict helping tip the balance in favor of President Bashar Assad’s forces.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria in recent years, including attacks on the Damascus and Aleppo airports, but rarely acknowledges or discusses the operations.

Israel’s defense minister says there’s no plans to control life in Gaza

Israel’s defense minister said Friday that after the country destroys the Hamas militant group, the military does not plan to control “life in the Gaza Strip”. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s comments to lawmakers were the first time an Israeli leader discussed its long-term plans for Gaza. Gallant said Israel expected there to be three phases to its war with Hamas.

He said it first would attack the group in Gaza with airstrikes and ground maneuvers, then it would defeat pockets of resistance and finally it would cease its “responsibility for life in the Gaza Strip.”

Some continued and sustained strengthening of KKE (Communist Party of Greece) in the last 1-2 years happening. After getting good results in the last parliamentary elections earlier this year (~7.5%) they now poll at ~10% in the first time since who knows when . And that level of support has been pretty much confirmed in the local elections (for regional and mayoral authorities) where communist candidates recieved ~10.5% of the votes country wide if you aggregate and elected mayors in some pretty big cities/populous Athens municapilities..

Yeah they are still at best mid-bad on LGBT issues (tho improving at a very slow pace). Yeah their foreign policy positions are still only ~70% there with some ultra left analysis on China and a couple of other issues. Yeah they have other issues. But they are still a hardboiled Marxist Lenninist party with little to no compromise on their positions and historical analysis or messaging. Very well and stricktly demcent organized ,with deep roots and activities on the union sphere and increasing membership and young support. Pretty much immune to spooks , gladio like infiltration or demsoc turns.

Looking at the state of communist parties and movements in most of the west , at eurocommunism and in general the post war trajectory of most , youdont have that kind of party with that kind of support and organizational strength almost anywhere else. So despite its flaws i cant really complain too much and its a bright spot for sure.

Another positive is that with KKE at this level of strength any EU promoted anti-communist or even anti-protest legislative stuff (that we see start popping up more and more around Europe) is basicaly dead on arival and impossible to implement and will only strengthen it while if KKE was weakened and at like 4% they would have attacked already

Yet another Merkava hit by an ATGM with no trophy system firing. At this point I genuinely don't believe the trophy system exists.

Top story right now on CNN’s website is about how they have done a big “CNN Investigates” on the Gaza hospital. And of course, their in-depth, independent analysis shows that the explosion was due to a rocket from Gaza. Afaik their “in-depth analysis” just consists of talking to former US military officers and RAND Corp freaks.

I haven’t really been following this stuff all that closely, so I don’t know how to debunk what they’re saying but FYI western media is doubling down on it NOT being the Israelis after Al-Jazeera explained how it was them.

Edit: again, I’m not really good on all this OSINT stuff but it seems like their “analysis” is just regurgitating stuff we heard like 3 days ago. Smol crater, that doesn’t sound like a JDAM, etc. Early in the article they seem to say it was a rocket that blew up mid flight and the debris lit cars on fire (ok….). Then they talk about that scorch pattern or whatever that CLEARLY shows it came from the northeast. Except they say “well a rocket from the SW would have burned up the ground on approach, causing that pattern, or something falling wouldn’t have left anything like that”… completely contradicting their falling schrapnel theory.

Another video of an Israeli influencer making fun out of Palestinian / Arab women living through bombing and getting ready (with excessive makeup). She’s getting ready with debris covered products, and there’s ‘explosions’ at the end. What sort of sadist racism is this?

The desperate pantomime of a fascist movement circling the drain, these people have turned themselves into soulless monstrosities for the sake of a decrepit empire led by a zombie who thinks it's 1973

A society of death worshipers will always implode
