seriously "western culture" is so full of propaganda that it would take some serious steps to turn people there normal. everyone is taught history began with the ancient greeks and then rennaisance explorers brought civilization to the world. everyone can learn english, the most western language, and expect to talk to people in asia or africa. every westerner almost exclusively consumes media made in the west, in english, with westerners (or fantasy versions thereof) as main characters and non-westerners are either spicy additive characters or "the others".
people from some bullshit country in europe (raised on history nostalgia jerking) or some state in the US (raised on US exceptionalism), can't comprehend that they're not the main characters in world events. most of the world resides outside "the international community" and very soon most of the world's power and economy will as well. anglos and euros are going to become very angry and confused once they can't even pretend they're the center of the world.
