This is what they were talking about when Netunyahu kept banging on about how Hamas should be supported by Zionists. And what the hostage who was released was alluding to with 'sacrificial lambs'. They've been waiting for an opportunity like this where they get a justification to do some light genocide in Gaza.

Likely one of the reasons that Hamas are trickling out hostages as well, Israel wants them to be martyrs for the cause. Living people are harder to use as puppets.

Oh so it really is like 9/11

[-] Barabas@hexbear.net 39 points 1 year ago

Zionists are pretty open about being accelerationists. Armed resistance is the inevitable conclusion to their policies.

so next they're just straight gonna drop the full phrase "final solution", right? there's not much further to go rhetorically

[-] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 34 points 1 year ago

Really seems like that is where we are at now.

I swear I’ve already seen it used somewhere last couple of weeks. Could just be the glasses-on but there’s a non-zero chance it’s not

Yeah that's just a literal Nazi failing at the crypto part of crypto-fascism

[-] EmmaGoldman@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago

He's immune to bad experiments that are commonly misunderstood. Look, he has a doctor's note.

Doesn't this remind us of a German think tank that was looking to relocate/destroy certain populations?

Ethnic cleansing is strange in that it tends to follow certain patterns. Like, the fascist playbook requires the Other and it requires and ever-increasing intensity. These necessities arise from the material base of fascism. Combine that with the logistics of moving large numbers of people around against their will and humans have repeatedly arrived at similar conclusions. When people say genocide is the natural conclusion of fascist rhetoric, I don’t think we always make the connecting dots between the start and the end. It’s a very internally consistent progression.

Were think tanks a thing back in the 30s and 40s?

No, tankies hadn’t invented them yet

What would you call it when you designate an area of government property for putting large numbers of people into relatively small spaces? You know, like, you suspend some portion of your normal laws to facilitate this relocation and those laws remain suspended in this designated area? What would you call that? Is there a name for that? If there were, what would it be called? Hmmm? What would? Is it called? If what were it called was it on, what would it, though?

an area of government property for putting large numbers of people into relatively small spaces

You mean taking a somewhat diffuse population and concentrating it in a smaller area?

Yes, that’s exactly what I mean!

(Just pretend that’s a clip from a different movie)

Oh that’s just an “internment” camp

We had those for undesirables during world war 2 and definitely learned from such inhumane practices

I’ve been to camp and I’ve been an intern but never both at once
