I literally had a coworker from Poland who went "soviets were so evil, if Hitler won the war, polish ppl would be better off". He would not listen to me saying that if hitler won then polish people would simply not be, at all.

My great grandad was a nazi collaborator, so it could always be worse. Luckily not in any huge capacity. He just got paid as a day laborer to help them build stuff, but it's still pretty bad.
If Stalin killed your great grandparents, they deserved it.
I have someone like this is my orbit and it takes every ounce of my strength to not ask them if their grandfather was a Nazi.
