Quite bold of them to assume crocodiles can read

[-] Window_Error_Noises@lemmy.world 37 points 1 month ago

Did... Did the crocodiles make that sign?

[-] kia@lemmy.ca 30 points 1 month ago

It's simply a warning to crocodiles that there's no lifeguard on duty.

[-] Eczpurt@lemmy.world 27 points 1 month ago

This sign was clearly put up by the crocodiles.

Crocodiles: do not! (Swim?) "Here..."

[-] metaStatic@kbin.earth 4 points 1 month ago

This Padi logo shouldn't be here either.

Crocodiles? Do not! Swim here!

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 month ago

Crocodiles do not. Swim here!

[-] Zachariah@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

They’d be so mad if they could read.

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

DON'T DEAD

OPEN INSIDE

On a related note, we have "no swimming, alligators hang here" signs in NW Florida. Don't care, not worried. OTOH, "CROCS you say?!" One of these things is not like the other.

[-] snooggums@midwest.social 3 points 1 month ago

Yeah, one sees you later and the other sees you after a while.

Totally different.

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 month ago

"no swimming alligators hang here"

So all the alligators are hanging out on land

Crocodiles; do not swim here

[-] snooggums@midwest.social 3 points 1 month ago

I thought it was supposed to be:

Crocodiles, do not swim here.

[-] cobysev@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

I would've gone with:

Crocodiles! Do not swim here

[-] BobbyGasoline@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

I kind of like:

Crocodiles?! Do not swim here?

[-] linkinkampf19@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Don't Get in the kiln

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 1 month ago

Look, there's this guy who's been a pain in the ass on this beach. He leaves a bunch of crap everywhere, we have to clean up after him. Tom thought this might solve the problem.
