Damn, turns out dehumanising the enemy only goes so far, and eventually even your SS officers start to have a crisis of conscience. The only solution, to finally fix this problem should be to organise a way to do the slaughtering while allowing these soldiers to avoid personal responsibility, perhaps herding their targets into some kind of large oven or something, and have one guy lead them in, another guy push the button, and a third guy remove the remains, that way, none of those three guys can feel guilty, because they're only following orders.

I have heard about something like this happening in the past. Unfortunately, I can't pin point. /s

Just remember, it's anti-semitic to connect any of Israel's actions to any other country's past or present.

Unless it’s a country in the Bible

I think the fascism has gotten so bad that they now have zero care for even their fascist footsoldiers.

The only thing they would care about is if their population turn on them because they don't show adequate care for the footsoldiers. Only that would push them into doing something to reduce the mental burden.

This would be great if it didn't result in the extermination of everyone in Palestine.

He set himself on fire, so no.

Interesting choice of ways to commit suicide. Almost like he felt like he deserved it. It's not a quiet and painless way to go out. He was truly tortured and went out torturing himself as hard as he could.

Not gonna cry for him, but not going to break out the crabs and officer-down bouquets either. This is what it looks like when a person who is sensitive and does have a sense of empathy (even if it's buried too deep to have done any good) is fostered in a culture of fascism and mass sociopathy. He still made a series of evil decisions that he alone is responsible for, but it's still sickening and sad that had he not been embedded within a society as thoroughly committed to fascism as the entity is, he might have become a decent human being.

I do wish that his latent understanding of the atrocities he was taking part in had steered him towards burning his fellow war criminals to death instead of himself, then facing those consequences though. He could have done a minor but real good and redeemed some small shred of his humanity if he had.

IDF hero possessed by hamas who has weaponized islamic dark magic and forced his hand in his own suicide boohoo

[-] hellinkilla@hexbear.net 11 points 5 days ago

IDF doesn't think he was a hero

"At least in his death, he will find rest and respect and receive the honor he deserves for his sacrifice. He deserves a military funeral." ...

"The late Daniel Edri was not in active or reserve service at the time of his death, and therefore, he cannot be recognized as an IDF martyr and is not entitled to a military funeral," the IDF said in a statement.

The funniest thing about fascists is how little respect and how much disdain they have for one another

His duties included carrying the bodies of fallen IDF soldiers, a responsibility that left deep psychological scars. "He told me he saw horrors," his mother Sigal recalled through tears. "He said to me: 'Mom, I smell the smell of the bodies and I keep seeing the bodies all the time.'"

People seem to be assuming that the reference to the smell of burning bodies is guilt over being involved in mass murder. But every article relates it to IDF casualties. Not that the reporting is extremely in depth or reliable but unless there's something I am missing it could just as easily be the results of 🔻 🔻 🔻.

The health care system must be stretched thin if the response when someone calls with suicidal idea is to tell them to wait a week to get into a nursing home.
