First Anime-American suicide bomber
I read this whole thing and the words "despair is typical of those who do not understand the causes of evil" crashed through my roof and destroyed my fish tank.
Really didnt have a anime-brainedpoisoned new-athiest anti-natalist carmakazi bomber on my 2025 bingo card.
But here we are.
This is what happens when a culture doesn't understand happiness isn't the end goal of life. Consumerism which promotes idea of earning your happiness through constant self-improvement has its logical conclusion in this idea that all which isn't happy or striving for happiness through consumption is wasted. This is functionally same ideology as those social media life coaches selling the hustle grindset.

A true nihilist would have just killed himself and been done with it. Instead overdose of liberalism and hyper individualism makes people just not want to live, but also make a show of murdering other people, because the "show" puts them and their ego on the center stage.
How does anarchism always seem to find its way into these bullshit ideologies?
Anarchism has cool branding. If you're already just grabbing ideologies at random to combine, why not go for the one with the coolest logo?

If anarchism is primarily about the liberation of the individual free from the impositions of others then it just a short step to apply that only to a small group and subjugate the rest.

Says a close friend had her boyfriend shoot her in the head while sleeping sometime in the last 28 days, links to her social media where she says she’s an aro wlw terf, says he told her he would soon follow if she ever went through with it since he’d never find someone else who would understand him.
He seems to plainly admit to a lot of heinous things, so maybe not a reason to lie about it, but I suspect this may be a murder-suicide.
Also have an awful feeling despite all the awful stuff, carnists are going to focus on “he was a vegan” like they vegetarianjacket hitler to try to justify their unethical behahiour.
Yeah I saw that too. After leaving the mod team of vegan circlejerk that whole community was tied to antinatalism and it upset me to see that. I wrote a statement on it and this for the vegan theory club:

So that's what happened to VCJ, I pretty much stopped reading it after the antinatalism stuff started popping up all over that sub. Sucks, because I always thought that was one of the only good subs on that shithole site and as sad as it is to admit, the posts on there making fun of carnists and vegetarians helped me go vegan.
Hundreds of people have told me that it helped them go vegan while I modded it from 2018 - 2023 but the increasing scrutiny of the admins was annoying, having my long time account HamidPayaamAbbasi get banned, and it was starting to make me mad having to sign into reddit and approve everything. When all the anarchists stepped down it was left to a few libs who started the antinatalism shit.
My goodbye from reddit post was this

The last paragraph really drives home that this person just led a fucked up and depressing existence, and then, on top of that, a close friend dying/being murdered/suiciding in a clearly confusing arrangement.
I dunno. I don't feel overly angry at this person, what they've done is utterly and truly awful and should never have been done. But I can see how an awful life like that could totally warp your view of the world. I'm extremely mad at our shit society that frequently lets people get to this point without helping them or really giving a shit.
Yeah this was very close to my worldview after a life of trauma, until I slowly shifted towards leftism then Marxism. A sort of reification of mental illness and despair into a quasi-ideology.
It takes more than a nudge for these feelings to develop into a belief system and produce results like this. The West expends so much energy eradicating leftist thought from the culture, giving unmaterialist and destructive ideologies like this an evolutionary advantage. Not to mention how many cases like this are likely enabled/influenced/caused by feds.
I'm mostly just sad.

yeah i'm not gonna go bomb a fertility clinic but my life has been predominately suffering and it would be a crime to force someone to live many of our lives.
Dang, I had thoughts like this for a while. Thank the heavens I found some actual sense of purpose in life.

Is anyone else increaseingly worried they'll get taken out by one of these maniacs. America is so unsafe, but everyone acts like its nbd. I hate it. I dream of the day I'm in China and won't have to worry im gonna get blown up, or shot randomly while grocery shopping or something.
One of my biggest fears is being killed by one of these people, but specifically in large part because of the indignity of being killed by one of these types of jackasses.

All a promortalist is saying is let's make it happen sooner rather than later (and preferably peaceful rather than some disease or accident), to prevent your future suffering, and, more importantly, the suffering your existence will cause to all the other sentient beings.

if you take anti natalism to its real logical extreme, then you have to actually want the human race to prosper enough to build a giant sun death laser that eradicates all life in the galaxy periodically on auto pilot and then kill your entire species
That's actually a really good question because there's no way, even with 100% of the sun's mass going into the effort, that we could actually zap everything in the galaxy to death. We'd have to instead have a signal so depressing that, as soon as a species decodes it, they'd be guaranteed to start sending out a similar signal and destroy all life within zapping range. A sort of interstellar bird box, written and directed by Todd Solondz.
